C                                        FAV FOUNDERS
​​Sophia LeRose and Kiara McNulty co-founded Female Athlete Volunteers in 2012. They have been childhood friends since they met in preschool at age 5.  They founded FAV with the intent to create an organization for their friends and busy athletes that focused on the philanthropy and the experience of supporting a variety of organizations.  They wanted to create an organization which provides a positive, fun and flexible environment to give back to the community, without the overhead of expensive dues or ancillary commitments.  The organization was started with 25 initial members, and has quickly grown in size with the addition of a new middle school chapter and new teen leaders. Sophia played lacrosse and field hockey for Torrey Pines High School and Kiara played indoor and beach volleyball for Torrey Pines. High School and Wave Volleyball Club.
